Hello Gonzaga Families,
Welcome to Gonzaga University! We are incredibly excited for the incoming class of 2028 knowing that their energy and passion inspires our community.
Now that you are a part of the Zag family, we want to do our best to prepare you as your student makes this big transition. Gonzaga understands the important role that family members play in their students' lives and educational success. Continued communication and support from family members can contribute immeasurably to the success of new GU students. We believe establishing this relationship with parents and family members is an important component of a successful college experience for Zag students.
Students often face challenges which may overwhelm them, as they encounter periods of growth, self-reflection, and independence. Parents and family members can help make such obstacles easier to overcome. Gonzaga is committed to working with you so that your student will learn to access institutional resources independently.
We want to establish a collaborative spirit between you and the University for the Common Goal of helping your student develop and succeed. We value you as a partner in your student’s educational process. The staff in New Student & Family Programs is here to provide support and services to all parents and families. Our goals to support our Gonzaga families include creating opportunities for you to learn, connect, and engage with the University. These goals are accomplished by providing comprehensive programming, communication, and advocacy.
